Richfield Farms CSA 09’
Our goal for the Richfield Farms CSA is to supply the community with fresh locally grown produce on a weekly basis. With rising fuel costs, the transportation of goods from state to state has become cost ineffective. We believe that this program will allow us to supply our local neighbors with high quality products and service at a less expensive price than shopping at a supermarket. This service will cut down additional pollution from fuels and plastics. It will also help to support New Jersey agricu lture and our local economy. We plan to grow the majority of our produce here in Clifton. What we can not grow ourselves, we will purchase from New Jersey farmers that we have developed strong relationships with over the past 25 years.
This year the program consists of 3 options. A Full share for $499: 20 weeks of produce to be distributed once a week starting mid June which breaks down to $25 per week. Second a Half share for $274.99: 10 weeks of produce with the options of June-August or August-October. Third, Bi-Monthly Full Share for $274.99: produce picked up every other week for 20 weeks. Every Friday afternoon from 1pm-7pm participants will be able to pick up their produce, which will change seasonally.
As a member in this program, you will receive an abundant variety of the following: salad greens, fresh herbs, tomatoes, sweet corn, blueberries, bell peppers, cucumbers, hot peppers, onions, garlic bulbs, potatoes, eggplant, zucchini, beans, apples, pumpkins, apple cider, fresh pies and breads, bouquets of fresh cut flowers and much more. A majority of the produce will be organically grown and will be labeled to indicate just that.
This is our second year running this CSA, and we are limited to 25 participants. With spots expected to fill quickly, we encourage you to act fast in enrolling in this special program.
